Peh Khaik Kew is a graduate of the University of Warwick and is a member of the Honourable Society of Lincoln’s Inn, London. He was called to the Bar as an English Utter Barrister in 1996 and was subsequently admitted to the Malaysian Bar in 1997. He is the partner that heads the Intellectual Property practice of the firm. He is a known Intellectual Property (IP) specialist who has extensive legal and hands-on field experience relating to the protection and enforcement of Intellectual Property rights. In the course of his career, Khaik Kew has travelled extensively to participate in international seminars and conferences on Intellectual Property. In addition, he has conducted many talks on the enforcement of Intellectual Property rights hosted by various multinational organisations and the Ministry of Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs. 

He is regularly sought after by peers in the industry and clients for his experience in IP enforcement and his knowledge in this area. He has an established reputation within the software industry and is innovative and skilled in his approach to protection and enforcement of IP rights, with programs that not only protects, but helps to monetize the intellectual property of the client. Skilled in the art of negotiation, his results have been proven with many settlements reached for clients without the need for costly litigation. Working in a team, Khaik Kew also works hand in hand with the litigation department when enforcement requires the intervention of the courts or where any litigation is required to overcome an improper or invalid intellectual property right asserted. Khaik Kew will advise, strategise and chart the path to bring a successful outcome for the client. His unique practice style and stewardship has brought much success for the firm, leading to recognition and rankings for the Intellectual Property Practice of the firm in The Legal 500 Asia Pacific and Chambers & Partners. 

When not in enforcement mode, Khaik Kew is a sportsman who enjoys various outdoor sporting activities. He is skilled and had excelled in various racquet ball games, having previously represented the Malaysian Bar in tennis and squash tournaments. He now enjoys a game of pickleball on a regular basis besides spending time on the greens to improve his golf handicap. Khaik Kew scuba dives for leisure and cites watching movies and tending to his pond and aquarium a hobby of sorts.
