Azra is a graduate with a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) from the University of Malaya. After completing her pupillage at Josephine, L K Chow & Co., she found her calling in the field of Intellectual Property law and now serves as a dedicated lawyer within the firm's Intellectual Property department.

Azra focuses on software license compliance matters and diligently ensures adherence to legal requirements. Her role extends to enforcement actions, where in collaboration with governmental authorities, she assists in identifying and apprehending companies suspected of intellectual property infringement. Moreover, Azra adeptly engages in negotiation discussions with infringers, working towards case settlements.

She finds inspiration in the song lyrics from Disney's Mulan, "Once you find your centre, you are sure to win." This resonates deeply with her because she believes that when you work with emotional intelligence, confidence, and tolerance, you can navigate negotiations to achieve a win-win outcome. Just as the lyrics suggest that finding your centre leads to victory, she embraces the idea that by staying grounded and balanced in her approach, she can effectively advocate for her clients and achieve favourable outcomes in their cases.

During her undergraduate studies, Azra was active in various moot competitions, both at home and abroad. Her achievements include her team's outstanding performance as 2nd Runners-Up in the esteemed 13th Price Media Law International Moot Court Competition and ranking as 3rd Best Oralist (Overall). Furthermore, Azra gained valuable experience in criminal litigation through her internship, where she worked alongside seasoned lawyers in handling high-profile cases within the courtrooms.

When not in the office, you'll likely find her either enjoying a cup of coffee at cafes catching up with friends, or getting her hands messy in the kitchen whipping up some new recipes for her family.
