Kang Ying graduated with an LL.B (Hons) from the University of the West of England, Bristol in 2019. She subsequently obtained her Certificate in Legal Practice in 2021 on her first attempt, showcasing her academic abilities and strong work ethics. 

She then joined Josephine, L K Chow & Co. in October 2021 as a pupil-in-chambers. After successfully completing her pupillage, she was retained as a legal associate within the firm.

Throughout her time at JLKC, Kang Ying has been actively involved in various litigation cases, assisting Mr Edward Saw and his team. Her work encompasses areas such as debt recovery, unfair dismissal, landlord-tenant disputes, moneylending agreements, and probate. Recently, she has also started working on conveyancing and corporate matters.

During her time in university, Kang Ying actively engaged in community outreach services. This involvement provided her with valuable opportunities to interact with individuals from diverse backgrounds and fostered the development of her teamwork skills. Outside the office, Kang Ying’s favourite past time is cooking and eating, and whenever there is a need to de-stress, she watches cat videos.
