‘Justice with Integrity and Compassion’ is Yong Yi's motto as a lawyer. Her journey in the legal field commenced on her birthday in October 2022 when she became a pupil-in-chambers at Josephine, L K Chow & Co. under the guidance of her esteemed pupil master, Ms. Cyndi Chow. Her pupillage exposure allowed her to experience legal work in a wide range of civil litigation matters handled by the firm. Yong Yi’s journey continues with the firm as she is slated to commence her practice in the firm after completion of her pupillage. 

Yong Yi graduated with a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) from the Universiti Utara Malaysia. During her time at the university, Yong Yi actively engaged in various extracurricular activities. She participated in moot court competitions and held leadership positions in various organizations like the Asian Law Students' Association (ALSA) and the Law Students' Society of UUM. Through her involvement, she organized events and activities aimed at promoting legal education. Yong Yi's dedication to social justice is further exemplified by her voluntary work as a tutor for refugee children. 

Yong Yi is a dedicated and driven litigator, using her legal expertise to positively impact her clients and the community. Her passion for fighting for her clients' rights and seeking justice in the law fuels her determination to excel in her field. With the guidance and support of her master and seniors in the firm, she constantly develops her legal skills and knowledge, enabling her to navigate the complexities of legal disputes to ensure the best outcomes for her clients.

Yong Yi's vision is to uphold the principles of justice and equality, ensuring a fair and just legal system for all. She aspires to make a difference in society by empowering individuals through legal advocacy. 

Outside of her professional pursuits, Yong Yi indulges in her personal hobbies and interests. She enjoys exploring foodie spots with her friends, with the belief that good food is able to put her in a good mood, which in turn enhances her performance at work.
