Khaik Kew joined Josephine, LK Chow & Co. as a
partner in September 2007. He is a known Intellectual Property (IP) specialist
who has extensive legal and hands-on field experience relating to the
protection and enforcement of Intellectual Property rights. He has been named
by The Legal 500 as a recommended lawyer for Intellectual Property and is known

Khaik Kew frequently organises and supervises surprise
raids in collaboration with the Ministry of Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs
on behalf of his clients that are mainly multinational corporations and owners
of global brandnames. Khaik Kew is also regularly consulted and engaged by
foreign lawyers to act locally for their international clients on key
Intellectual Property matters.
In the course of his career, Khaik Kew has travelled
extensively to participate in international seminars and conferences on Intellectual
Property. In addition, he has conducted many talks on the enforcement of
Intellectual Property rights hosted by various multinational organisations and
the Ministry of Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs.
Khaik Kew graduated from the University of Warwick,
England and is a member of the Honourable Society of Lincoln’s Inn, London. He
was called to the Bar as an English Utter Barrister in 1996 and subsequently
admitted to the Malaysian Bar in 1997.
Khaik Kew first commenced legal practice with the firm of
Shearn Delamore & Co. in their Intellectual Property Department where he
gained rich experience relating to the registration of trademarks, patents and
industrial designs as well as litigation and enforcement of Intellectual
Property rights. Prior to joining Josephine, LK Chow & Co., Khaik Kew also
practiced as a partner in the established Malaysian firms of Raja, Darryl &
Loh, and Sreenevasan.
Outside of work, Khaik Kew is an avid reader and movie
buff. He also enjoys scuba diving, running and racquet games. Khaik Kew has
previously represented the Malaysian Bar in tennis and squash tournaments.
