Jing Min joined Messrs Josephine, L K Chow & Co. as an Associate in March 2019. He works closely with Yip, the Managing Partner of the Kuala Lumpur office. Jing Min’s practice at the firm is focused on Dispute Resolution, that includes but is not limited to Construction Law and probate related disputes, as well as Civil and Corporate legal issues. He believes in bringing a personable, practicable and “common sense” approach to the table when dealing with Dispute Resolution matters.
Jing Min graduated in 2016 with a LL.B (Hons) from the UK Degree Transfer Programme that is offered jointly by HELP University in Malaysia and Cardiff University in Wales. Upon his return from Cardiff, Jing Min sat for and successfully obtained his Certificate in Legal Practice in 2017, in his first attempt. He was subsequently called to the Malaysian Bar in 2019.
Jing Min brings to Josephine L K Chow & Co rich and varied experience gained during his previous multi-faceted work placements. Jing Min started his legal career as a intern with the law firm of K.C. Hue & Co. He then burned both ends of the candle at Tanes, Khoo & Paulraj (another Legal 500 Firm) where he also worked as an intern whilst studying hard for his Certificate in Legal Practice. At this second firm, Jing Min was exposed to various aspects of legal practice including criminal matters. Jing Min later moved on to complete his legal pupillage with Messrs Valen Khor & Associates, a firm with an established reputation of dealing with construction disputes.
Outside the office, Jing Min enjoys playing various types of sports, especially basketball, football and squash. He regularly participates in competitive events relating to these sports. Jing Min is also a voracious reader, prefering biographies over the fiction genre, and an avid movie fan.
